This workshop is a part of our Love Your Clothes: Repair, Restore, Rewear series. A collection of community workshops designed to help people extend the life of their clothing through repair, restoration and creative renewal. Throughout the series, you'll learn practical skills to reduce textile waste and get more wear from the items you already own. The series wraps up with the Great Global Mend event, bringing the community together to celebrate mending, repair and keeping textiles in use for longer.
Hosted by waste educator, Laura Monisse
To kick off the series, join educator Laura Monisse for an engaging workshop on decluttering with purpose. Learn practical strategies to clear your home and wardrobe while making informed decisions about what to keep, donate, repair, recycle or responsibly dispose of.
Together, we'll explore:
✅ Why clutter accumulates
✅ The benefits of a more organised home
✅ Practical strategies for decluttering
✅ How to responsibly donate, recycle and dispose of unwanted items
✅ Ways to keep clothing and textiles out of landfill
✅ Simple habits to reduce waste and make the most of what you own
This interactive session offers opportunities to reflect on your habits, share ideas and connect with others while tackling common decluttering challenges.
Whether you're clearing out an overflowing wardrobe or looking to reduce waste at home, this workshop will give you the knowledge and confidence to declutter responsibly and make more sustainable choices.
Plan it on Keen
Keen is how mates lock in plans: see who’s free, who’s keen, and actually make it happen.
