Author bios:

Sally Barns is an author of picture books. Her titles include Rock Dogs, How to Train a Dad and How to Train a Mum, all published through Affirm Press. She is a recipient of the 2026 Tasmanian Writers and Illustrators Mentorship Program and a member of SCBWI. When Sally isn't busy being a taxi for her kids, she can be found with a pen in one hand and a sizeable chocolate stash in the other.

Amanda O’Shea is a mother of four, a teacher and a writer of stories for children. She writes chapter books for early and middle-grade readers. Her published works include: Rocky (a story about a boy’s friendship with a rascally rooster), two books in a Bunyip Boarding School series, and two books in the George and Pippo Problem Solvers series.
