WENDY MATTHEWS — LIVE@ THE GRAND ROOM
One of Australia’s most distinctive and celebrated voices comes to LIVE@ The Grand Room for a very special Saturday night.
Wendy Matthews has created some of the most memorable recordings in Australian music, with a remarkable career spanning multi-platinum albums, multiple ARIA Awards and a catalogue of songs that have become part of the Australian soundtrack.
From the unforgettable The Day You Went Away to Token Angels, Let’s Kiss, Friday’s Child and I Don’t Want to Be With Nobody But You, Wendy’s music crosses pop, soul, jazz, blues and beautiful balladry — all connected by that unmistakable voice.
Expressive, intimate and effortlessly emotive, Wendy has a rare ability to take a song and make it entirely her own.
Her extraordinary career has seen her work alongside some of Australia’s most respected artists, while her solo catalogue has produced enduring hits, acclaimed albums and performances that continue to connect with audiences across generations.
Now, Wendy Matthews brings those songs to the intimate surrounds of The Grand Room.
Expect an evening of beautiful melodies, wonderful musicianship, stories and some of the most loved songs from one of Australia’s truly iconic voices.
Come for dinner. Stay for the music. Experience Wendy Matthews LIVE@.
