Join us for an insightful conversation with Holly Ringland, about collaboration, creative synchronicities and why ‘With a Light Left On’ is such a powerful beacon for hope and connection, with AUSLAN Interpretation by FAB Interpreting.
When best-selling author Holly Ringland was approached to write a poem in response to Morag Myerscough’s BEACON installation it was a full circle moment. ‘With a Light Left On’ is a phrase that many fans will recognise from Holly’s popular Substack series, The Joy Rise, and her 2023 book on creativity and courage, The House That Joy Built. A new poem of the same title has now been arranged in an uplifting song to be performed at BLEACH Festival.

Following this event, the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community are invited to join James Kirwin and FAB Interpreting for an AUSLAN-interpreted guided tour of the BEACON installation.

ARTIST BIO
Holly is an international best-selling author and TV presenter for ABC’s Back to Nature.
She is best known for her 2018 novel The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, which won the 2019 General Fiction Book of the Year Award, and was adapted into a television miniseries in 2023.
