The story centres around Jackie, a young woman living in the suburbs who meets and falls in love with a dark handsome man, Nasir. It is love at first sight; they marry and their baby, Sasha, is born. However it is not happy ever after and we see Sasha grow from being a young child to an adolescent to a young adult, being moulded by her very own environment.
