This Mid-Autumn Festival you are invited you to explore the art of basket flower arrangement. Celebrated for its natural, poetic character, basket arrangement blends flowers, foliage, and woven textures to create rhythm and harmony. Rather than relying on strict symmetry, compositions emphasize open space, organic lines, and the unique beauty of each plant – reflecting traditional aesthetics of balance, seasonality, and understated elegance.
Guided by Professor Xu Yueping and designed by lecturer Liu Jie, this hands-on workshop introduces the principles of classical floral design in a welcoming environment.
As part of the Mid-Autumn Festival, immerse yourself in the culture behind this elegant craft – and create your own basket arrangement to take home.
