For many dogs, grooming is regular and life long. Teaching them to be comfortable being groomed is critical component for every dog’s health care.

Grooming also overlaps with other parts of life – vet visits, drying off after a swim at the beach, pats and interactions from people, and more! Having a dog remain calm, or even enjoy, grooming can have a huge impact on how they react in other circumstances too.

This session will cover all the important basics for dog grooming, including:

• The importance of grooming for all dogs
• Grooming needs for different coat types
• Grooming equipment for the home
• Identifying signs of fear or stress
• Setting your dog up for grooming success
• Choosing a good groomer

Whether you’ve groomed your own dogs before, or are thinking about it for the first time, this seminar is a must for valuable tips and tricks for keeping grooming calm and enjoyable for everyone!

This seminar is presented by Emma Cook at Pawly Understood. Emma is a fear free certified dog groomer and qualified trainer with over 11 years of experience in the grooming industry, with a passion for helping owners feel more confident grooming their own dogs and preventing stressful experiences.

Tickets are $5 per person (+ booking fees).
