Join us for an engaging and accessible talk on dementia — what it is, how to reduce your risk, and what the warning signs look like.
Professor Kate Laver, a leading dementia researcher from Flinders University, will walk us through:
• Everyday choices that may help protect your brain health
• What to look out for in yourself or loved ones
• What is happening in the brain of people with dementia
• Exciting research that's shaping better support and treatment for the future
No medical background needed — this session is designed for everyday people who want practical, easy-to-understand information.
We'll also be joined by the Marion Dementia Alliance, a local support group for people living with dementia and their carers, who will share information about their services.
Stay afterwards for a free afternoon tea.
