Interested in learning about pearls? This daily experience provides a compelling insight into the mysterious world of Pearling from the perspective of a working Australian Pearl Farm. Your guide will share fascinating information on modern day pearl farming and historical pearling practices. Watch and be amazed as an oyster is opened and the pearl inside is revealed right before your very eyes! On this 30-minute discovery session you will learn of the journey an Australian pearl takes and the risks involved to produce a gem worthy of jewellery. Before beginning your harvest, make yourself known to one of our friendly staff who will direct you into the harvest room where you will perch up overlooking the beautiful Swan River.
