Bauhaus Bendigo Symposium (Part 2): Bauhaus Learning and Making

About

Join us for a day exploring the enduring influence of the Weimar Bauhaus on art, design, education and creative practice in Australia.

The Bauhaus Bendigo Symposium brings together museum and gallery professionals, artists, educators, designers, creative practitioners and the broader community for two sessions including keynote presentations, short presentations and lively panel discussions.

Featuring two leading Australian voices on the Bauhaus and its legacy: Dr Ann Stephen, Senior Curator of the University Art Collection at the Chau Chak Wing Museum, University of Sydney, and Professor Andrew McNamara, art historian, curator and Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities. Andrew curated Bauhaus Now! at the Museum of Brisbane, while both have contributed extensively to research and publications on the Bauhaus and its influence in Australia.
