Did you ever dream of being Esther Williams? The Hollywood Mermaid who graced a thousand screens? Now is your chance to take part in a modified artistic swimming program for Seniors. Artistic swimming (Synchronised Swimming) is a low impact recreation activity that combines swimming, dance and music. If you are comfortable with kicking and floating on your front and back, come try this shallow water program designed to teach the basics of artistic swimming.
We will build up your skills to create a short routine by the end of the 10 week program, there will be laughter, there will be music, and there may be a little bit of glam.
The first session is free and then a one off $22 registration fee applies.
To get the most out of this opportunity it is highly recommended participants aim to attend all/most of the classes.
The Seniors Artistic Swimming Project has been supported by a grant from the Knox City Council Community Development Fund.
