Join CWA Darwin for a relaxed afternoon of crafting, conversation and community as we make poppies for Remembrance Day.

Choose to crochet a poppy or hand sew a fabric poppy - or maybe make both! Whether you have years of experience or have never picked up a crochet hook or sewing needle before, you are very welcome. Don’t know how to crochet or hand sew? We can teach you!

This is a free workshop and a lovely opportunity to learn a new skill, share your skills with others, meet new people and contribute to a worthwhile community project.

Every poppy made during the workshop will be donated to the Darwin RSL for fundraising in the lead-up to Remembrance Day.

We’ll also share a traditional CWA afternoon tea of fresh scones with jam and cream while we craft.

Come on your own, bring a friend, mother, daughter, sister or neighbour, and spend an enjoyable afternoon creating something meaningful for our community.
