About

How is AI shaping our behaviour and judgment?

The rise of generative AI has triggered an explosion of investment and organisational change. Yet the drive for technological progress has largely neglected a crucial factor: humans. Understanding how and why people think and act the way they do is central to harnessing the opportunities from AI innovation, and avoiding the potential pitfalls.

In this talk, Elisabeth Costa, Chief of Innovation and Partnerships at the Behavioural Insights Team - the world's first 'Nudge Unit' set up in 10 Downing Street - will outline the latest research on the intersection of AI and human behaviour.

How can organisations approach AI adoption as a behavioural challenge, rather than a technological one?

Can AI help us make better decisions?

How can we avoid offloading our thinking to AI?

Can we use AI more as a cognitive 'coach' than a 'crutch'?

The session will begin with a welcome from WADSIH Director Alex Jenkins, followed by a 40-minute presentation from Lis and an audience Q&A. Light refreshments and networking will follow the formal presentation.

Whether you work in technology, data science, policy, research, business or innovation – or you’re simply curious about how AI is changing the way we think and behave – this session will offer a fascinating new perspective.

Tickets are limited to just 45, so register early to secure your place.
