About

Ordinary People. Extraordinary Lives. And also, there's Monsters.

Tonight, a group of bizarre and eccentric everyday people gather at an Open Mic to tell their stories about living in a world where giant mutant monsters roam the Earth. Through story, song, clown, mime and high art these characters explore what it truly means to be a hero in today’s world.

Inspired by 1960’s Japanese pop-culture icons like Ultraman and Godzilla, The Year There Were No Monsters marks the second major collaboration between fringe-fave Shane Adamczak and director Sam Longley.

From the creators of the Martin Sims and Just For Laughs Award-Winning Vehicle and The Ballad Of Frank Allen comes a brand new one-man comedy that explores the triumph of the human spirit against all odds.
