As part of Wellbeing Month, we invite you to join us for an acrylic painting workshop with local artist Richard Rogers.
Learn a simple approach to painting with acrylics using an uncomplicated, five step method, which solves the ‘problems’ of composition, shape, tone, colour and detail, one step at a time. Discover how an underlying tonal pattern can give structure and unity to your paintings.
In this workshop we will be painting a landscape (references supplied), but this is an approach that, once learned, can be used for any subject matter whether landscape, still life or portraiture.
All skill levels welcome - but be quick as there are limited spots available.
Cost is $80 which includes 5 hours of tuition, a canvas, reference notes, and the use of an easel. Tea and coffee provided.
You will need to bring your own acrylic paints, brushes and palette.
Workshop runs from 10am until 3.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break (lunch is not provided).
The workshop will be held in Irish Harp Room 1 - located next to the Prospect Town Hall. Entery via the yellow doors on Vine Street Plaza (opposite St George's Bakehouse). Doors will be open from 9.30 to allow you to set up and be ready for a 10am start.
