About

Facilitator: Talena Benedet

Parenthood can be beautiful, hilarious, exhausting...and relentless.

The mental load. The rushing. The constant needs of others. The feeling that you’re always “on”. And even when the kids are finally asleep, your body can still feel like it’s running a marathon.

Over time, stress doesn’t simply disappear when the stressful moment is over. Without the right rituals and practices, we can carry it in our bodies, our thoughts, our sleep, our energy and the way we respond to the people we love most.

And sometimes, it isn’t just you who is overwhelmed. Your child’s big emotions, anxiety, meltdowns, restlessness or difficulty settling can leave the whole household feeling dysregulated.

So what if you could learn how to actually clear it?

In this practical and empowering 90-minute workshop, Talena Benedet brings together her experience as a mother of five, former corporate professional and kinesiology practitioner to explore the nervous system, accumulated stress and the powerful role parents can play in helping both themselves and their children return to a greater sense of calm.

This isn't about becoming a perfectly calm parent.

One of the most valuable things a parent can learn is that regulation is something we can support, practise and build together.

Talena will share practical, age-appropriate ways to help children recognise and respond to what is happening in their bodies, particularly during moments of stress, overwhelm or big emotion.
