GENERATION WOMEN - Choosing Hope: Stories of what got us through

About

The theme is: Choosing Hope: Stories of what got us through

✨ Choosing Hope: Finding the spark (and the laugh) that keeps us going

Hope shows up in all kinds of ways: a kind word, a lucky break or even a funny mishap that reminds us things can turn around. Six storytellers across six generations share the unexpected, often hilarious, sometimes tender moments that carried them through a tricky time. These aren’t perfect endings but real stories of resilience, humour and the kind of hope that sneaks in when you least expect it.

If you’ve ever needed a reason to smile in the middle of a tough time, this night is for you. You’ll laugh, you might tear up but most of all you’ll leave with the reminder that hope (and humour) are never far away.

Generation Women is an award-winning cross-generational storytelling night founded in New York in 2017, Sydney in 2018, and Melbourne in 2020. Each month, six women of note read an original piece on a theme. Of those women, one is in her 20s, her 30s, her 40s, her 50s, her 60s, and her 70s+.

This event is proudly presented by Generation Women Australia, founded by Donna Logue. Generation Women was created by Georgia Clark.
