A hands-on day of creek exploration, discovery and adventure in nature!

Children will wade through shallow water, search for fascinating waterbugs and other creek creatures, and enjoy hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity, confidence and connection with the natural world.

Activities

• Discover Waterbugs – Use nets and trays to search for waterbugs, observe them up close and discover the important role they play in the creek ecosystem.
• Creek Exploration – Wade through shallow water, explore the creek and see what natural treasures and little creatures we can find along the way.
• Make Ochre – Explore earth colours and create natural pigments using ochre and other natural materials.
• Rope Swing Building – Work together to build rope swings and enjoy some adventurous nature play.
• Spot Local Wildlife – Keep an eye out for birds, insects and other wildlife that call the creek and surrounding bushland home.

For ages 3–9 years.

This is a drop-off program for children who are comfortable separating from their caregiver and able to manage their toileting independently.
