A celebration of Bengali food, culture and the stories that bring us together.
Sharodia: Tastes of Bengal, Beyond Borders is an intimate culinary gathering hosted by Shishir, the supper club host behind fan-favourite Table Tok, and Anirban, Season 8 contestant on The Great Australian Bake Off and founder of Sydney bakery Another Whisk.
Bringing together Shishir’s passion for creating meaningful food experiences and Anirban’s love for exploring heritage through food, Sharodia draws inspiration from Durga Puja, one of Bengal’s most cherished festivals.
Guests will be welcomed around the table for a festive Bengali feast inspired by family recipes and culinary traditions, featuring dishes such as fragrant polao, slow-cooked bhuna goat, seasonal accompaniments and traditional Bengali sweets.
Beyond the meal, the gathering invites guests to discover the stories behind Bengali food through hands-on experiences, including making jhalmuri and exploring the tradition of Joynagarer moa. It is an opportunity to share knowledge, exchange stories and experience the warmth of Bengali adda, the art of conversation and connection.
Rooted in the belief that food carries memories, identity and belonging across generations and borders, Sharodia offers a taste of Bengal that goes beyond the plate.
Whether you grew up celebrating Durga Puja or are discovering Bengali culture for the first time, join us for an afternoon of food, stories and shared traditions around the table.
