Looking for a creative way to support your child's learning? Join us for a practical 2-hour makerspace session for home-school families, designed for children aged 8-12 and their parents or guardians.
This intergenerational program centres on digital fabrication skills in 3D printing, as well as offering access to robotics, electronics and hands-on making projects. Each session will offer a guided starter activities designed to spark curiosity and build foundational maker skills using our fabrication tools.
Our November session focuses on 3D design & print. Using Tinkercad, a free, beginner-friendly CAD program, kids will create their own Lego-inspired mini figures! Participants will design their own characters to live and play in Lego-land. Kids will explore how digital designs become physical objects while developing spatial awareness and beginner CAD skills in a fun and supportive environment.
