Event Infoeventbrite.com.auAbout
Training walks are an opportunity to test your gear, ask questions, gauge your fitness and see how your body responds to walking on consecutive days, on terrain similar to what you can expect on your tour. Your leader for this training walk may have walked in Peru, and they will offer advice and help with your preparations. You can join this walk even if you are not doing this particular walk and just want to do some training.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This walk is approximately 13km. Allow approximately 4 to 5 hours for this walk (depending on group pace).
This walk includes a mix of both wide and single trails. Some sections may be rocky and possibly slippery (particularly after rain). Expect a few challenging climbs and descents along the way.
As a guide we rate this walk as Moderate to Challenging, but this grading will vary for each individual based on current level of fitness and experience.
MEET SPOT
Meet at 8.15am for an 8.30am start.
A map with details of the meet location will be sent to you 24-48 hours prior to the walk.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Please wear the clothing you plan to wear for the walks on your trip, or similar (including boots / shoes)

Plan it on Keen
Keen is how mates lock in plans: see who’s free, who’s keen, and actually make it happen.
