Getting started: An introduction to researching State Library and Archives

The State Library and Archives of Tasmania offers many different tools and resources to research your family history, but where do you start?

In this session librarian Chloe House will explain the different collections and teach you exactly what you can research using the library and archives.

You will walk away with transferrable skills to conduct a broad range of research, and lots of special hints and tips to start you on your research journey.

Chloe House is a librarian at the State Library and Archives of Tasmania. She has a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and History and First Class Honours in English, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Information Management.

She is an enthusiastic researcher who strives to empower others to conduct their own research and find the information they are seeking.
