Learning to Use a Sewing Machine (Ages 8–12)
Give your child the confidence to create, repair and reimagine with one of life's most valuable creative skills!
Learning to use a sewing machine opens up a world of possibilities—from making fun projects and personalising clothing to repairing favourite items instead of throwing them away. It's a wonderful way to build creativity, independence and an appreciation for sustainable fashion.
Using the excellent sewing machines at The ReDress Hub, children will be guided through the essentials of machine sewing in this fun and hands-on 1.5-hour workshop.
During the workshop, participants will:

Want to keep sewing? This workshop is also the third session in our Slow Fashion Sewing Series for Kids. Children can continue developing their sewing skills while learning how to make, mend and creatively remake clothing, helping build confidence and lifelong sustainable habits.

This workshop is suitable for children 8-12yo.
Children under 8 are also welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
