Duke of George presents
PAPA | PEET
Soul-blues powerhouse PAPA | PEET are throwing down at Duke of George.
One night, full band, Saturday 24 October.
Led by guitarist/producer Jules Peet and powerhouse vocalist Tony Papa-Adams, the duo have racked up millions of streams, landed Spotify’s biggest blues editorial playlists, hit Double J rotation, and supported Theo Katzman (Vulfpeck) on his first Australian tour — all in just over two years, making them one of the most exciting soul-blues-rock acts to emerge from Australia in years.
Their latest single "Supreme" — a funk-soul strut that chases the dream and questions the cost of catching it — reached No. 1 on the AMRAP national, Blues & Roots and Metro charts. Mixed by Grammy Award-winning engineer Jeff Ellis (Frank Ocean, Joji, Doja Cat), it was their first release on Cheatin’ Hearts Records. Henry Wagons premiered it on Tower of Song (Double J):
"Blues legends… they deserve nationwide exposure."
— Henry Wagons, Double J
"We were floored the first time we heard PAPA | PEET… a haze of gritty blues and soul that sounded unlike anything we had heard coming out of Australia."
— Luke Woods, Founder, Cheatin’ Hearts Records
Joining the throwdown: the brilliant Bella Dyer and her band.
