Ten short films are selected from entries from around the world and will screen in over 500 venues across six continents during one week. Audiences at each venue are handed a voting card and asked to vote for the one film they think is best. Votes are sent through to Manhattan Short HQ and the winner is announced the following day. Every film selected as a finalist will be eligible to enter the Academy Awards in 2027.
