About

OBSCURE STRUCTURES Vol. 03 - Friday 23 October, 2026

There have been scattered reports of strange happenings in the Central Highlands.

Ominous sounds undulate through the frozen nights of Dja Dja Wurrung and Wadawurrung Country.

Rumours of dark sonic rituals in bush clearings and dilapidated farm houses.

Noises. Sometimes ugly. Sometimes delicate. Often alien. But always disturbingly alluring.

Arcane operatives are moving in secret. Creating. Plotting. Colluding. Preparing.

But preparing for what?

The neo-sibyls are in agreement. They are coming down from the mountains.

Soon.

Their arrival will herald great change. But for better or worse they cannot say.

Envoys of a seismic shift in collective consciousness? Or harbingers of our impending desolation?

Would you not want to be in the front row for either?

We invite you to welcome them at OBSCURE STRUCTURES Vol. 03 on Friday 23 October – a monthly Dark Music event at The Graveyard Bar (@thegraveyardmelbourne), Coburg North.

Each month we celebrate the artists and performers navigating the lightless. Embracing the shadow self. Pushing to the dim edges of existence.

OBSCURE STRUCTURES takes place on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. Sovereignty was never ceded. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. Always was, always will be.

Introducing this month's shadowy mountain emissaries...
