Breakthrough Battlegrounds has two sessions.

Local session is open for all APA Athletes wanting to qualify for nationals or compete for the first time.

The primetime session is a head-to-head powerlifting competition that reimagines the traditional meet format into an exciting 1v1 battle experience. Athletes compete directly against an assigned opponent in individual matchups, creating an engaging atmosphere for competitors and spectators alike. Winners are determined using GL Points, allowing lifters of different bodyweights to compete fairly while rewarding relative strength rather than total weight lifted. Every attempt carries importance, with strategy, consistency, and execution playing a major role in determining the outcome of each battle.
