In this session, we will learn how to embroider patterns, motifs and text onto pre-knitted stockinette fabric. This workshop is designed for all skill levels with no previous textile experience required, perfect for both absolute beginners and skilled crafters.
Facilitated by artist Sara Jajou, you will learn how to
☆ Read and draw your own chart
☆ Maintain a relaxed and consistent tension
☆ Employ the duplicate stitch technique
☆ Finish and weave ends in
☆ Steam-block your finished pieces
All materials, tea and light snacks provided - come as you are! Participants are welcome to take an extra knitted patch home alongside an instructional zine and continue creating.
