Smash It Together Squad Tournament

About

Smash It Together is a community-focused badminton tournament designed to foster intergenerational connections, social inclusion and active participation through sport.

By bringing together juniors, adults and older players in mixed-age squads, the event promotes teamwork, mentorship, healthy lifestyles and community belonging while creating an inclusive environment.

Overview

The tournament is run in a team-based badminton format where each squad competes across structured matches with a focus on teamwork, participation, connection and community spirit.

A special team condition applies for this event: each squad must include at least one player under 21 and at least one player aged over 40, encouraging intergenerational participation and giving players of different ages the chance to compete and connect as one team.

• Formats: Men's Squad, Women's Squad and Mixed Squad
• Grades: Grade 1 to Grade 4
• Team registration: $100 per team ($25 per player)
• Awards: Trophies and gifts for winners

Free barbecue

A free community barbecue will also be available during the event for participants to enjoy, making the day more than just badminton.

It is a chance to play, connect and celebrate community through sport.
