Acting and Drama for Stage and Screen (10-17yrs)

Students will learn dramatic and acting skills for performance, developing their voices, bodies, and minds through exercises and warmups, drama games, script-work, improvisation, and performance for both stage and screen.

This class is perfect for beginner and intermediate young performers that want to have fun, improve their confidence, and meet like-minded students.

Students will work toward an end of term performance for their friends and family to watch, while receiving encouragement, and friendly feedback on their performance skills as the term progresses.

Students will be expected to maintain the same rules/behaviour as school for the wellbeing and enjoyment of all attending.

We encourage them to work on their scripts or material at home, but this is most applicable to older students who will receive more opportunities in class as they demonstrate their responsibility.

BYP is owned and operated by Matthew James French.

He is a multi-disciplinary artist, with over 15 years of performance experience, and has taught acting and drama for stage and screen with various establishments including BeXD Create, where he was lead Acting and Drama teacher for 3 years.

He has taught children aged 7-17, and enjoys helping young people express and improve themselves.
