McCallum Skatepark Coaching - 5-12 Skateboard, Scooter, BMX, Rollerskate

About

Thanks to the Town of Victoria Park.

Session 1: 9am

Session 2: 10am

Freestyle now will be facilitating a fun and informative coaching session at McCallum Park Skatepark for all people aged 5-12 who ride Skateboard, Scooter, BMX and Rollerskate. Our facilitators analyze the participants' skill level and work from that base and assist with confidence building. It is important to not only just focus on skill building but confidence as well. By using their own skill base as a stepping stone we are able to help them advance. Our coaches speak the participant’s language and speak on their level. Our instructors relay the importance of safety, the importance of helmets and how they can minimize injuries. Freestyle Now team members will be present to offer participants technical advice, trick tips, skill development and skatepark etiquette.

All participants would need their own equipment, helmet and closed in shoes. Participants with defective equipment may not be able to participate. Our coaches may be able to assist with some minor adjustments (Scooter/BMX Bar straightening, skate/rollerskate truck/wheel tightening) before the session starts if required and time permitting.
