Jessie Gordon and her fabulous band are taking the Duke by storm with a collection of riotous, ridiculous, rapturous songs and an exhortation for you to ENJOY YOURSELF.
After five months on tour through Europe and Asia, Jessie is back with new inspiration, new material and a new tan (just kidding, she can’t tan).
Featuring fearless swing tunes from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Blossom Dearie, Slim and Slam, Dinah Washington and Louis Armstrong, the band will be providing a glorious soundtrack to Jessie’s lilting vocals.
Jessie is also showcasing some of her brand new genre-defying compositions that draw inspiration from her travels: the dance camps in the French mountains, the 10pm Madrid sunsets and the many 3am, late night Italian concerts watching the moon rise.
Jessie is joined by an all star Perth line up comprising Harry Mitchell on piano, Karl Florisson on double bass and Ben Vanderwal on drums.
