Hello!
Excited to announce the opening of our Community Art Project - The We Care Project.
Over the past 2 months, Carer Gateway Wellways hosted a series of workshops across Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains, Penrith, and Lithgow. Over 300 people participated and 120 hoops were completed.
We would like to thank everyone who participated. During these workshops, community members and carers decorated hoops to represent the often unseen and unpaid caring roles undertaken by family members and friends.
Service Providers, including Nannas Touch Community, LINC | Lithgow Neighbourhood Centre and .......
also created larger hoops, which will be featured as part of the display.
To celebrate the completion of the project, we will be hosting an Open Day at Lithgow Library.
Light refreshments will be provided, and local organisations are invited to host an information stall to share details about their services and supports available to carers and the community.
The We Care Project display will also be exhibited at the library from 30th Septmber to 28th October 2026.
Come have a look at the beautiful work either you, a friend, or the community has created in honour of celebrating carers during Carers Week.
Opening Day: Wednesday, 14th October 2026
Project Displayed: 30th September - 28th October 2026
Lithgow Library - 110 Main St W, Lithgow NSW

Plan it on Keen
Keen is how mates lock in plans: see who’s free, who’s keen, and actually make it happen.
