The Empty Canvas is a living exhibition where the artwork is created by the people who visit it.

Beginning with a gallery of blank canvases, every visitor is invited to add a mark, a word, a colour, or a story, transforming the space into a collaborative artwork that reflects the creativity and diversity of our community. Through shared making, conversation, workshops, and connection, the exhibition celebrates the simple idea that art is something we create together – not something we simply observe.

You contribute to the artwork. You can add a mark, a word, a colour, or a story. You will transform the space into a collaborative artwork that reflects the creativity and diversity of our community. You can work on your own or work with a group – it's all up to you!

Each artwork will be gifted to community groups and organisations where they can be displayed or where the process of co-creation will be continued.

Local artists of all all levels are invited to share their time and knowledge to anyone who visits and wishes to co-create an artwork.
